ATL Airport Superior For Business Travelers, Survey Says
Analysts examined security efficiency, convenience, accessibility and other factors to name the ATL airport as the best in the nation.
ATLANTA, GA — The world's busiest airport in Atlanta is also the best airport for business, according to a ranking released this month.
The inaugural Business Travel Airport Guide from Corporate Traveler USA named Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to the top spot in the nation.
Internationally, Singapore Changi Airport is superior for business travelers, according to the guide.

“With a continued shift toward increased efficiency and wellness, it’s more important than ever to factor the airport experience into trip planning,” John Van den Heuvel, president of Corporate Traveler USA, said in a news release. “Choosing the right airport to connect through or fly into can significantly reduce travel friction and help ensure a seamless business trip.”
Corporate Traveler, a division of Flight Centre Travel Group, identified the honorees by surveying 100 travel managers at its company. They examined the security efficiency, convenience, accessibility, dining options, lounge quality and overall improvement of domestic and international airports.

Hartsfield-Jackson received 15 percent of the responses, while LaGuardia Airport in New York followed with 11 percent, according to the report. Then came Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (9 percent) and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston (8 percent).
Boston’s Logan Airport, Denver International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport tied for fifth at 7 percent each.
“Through the launch of our Business Travel Airport Guide, we aim to help organizations better prepare their travelers by sharing which airports are best prioritizing the traveler experience,” Van den Heuvel said in the release. “Given their years of experience managing trips at airports around the world, our network of travel managers is uniquely positioned to provide expert insights on the preferences and amenities that matter most.”
Hartsfield-Jackson also scored the No. 1 slot for most convenient U.S. airports and best U.S. airports for dining, Corporate Travel said in an email to Patch.
The local airport transports passengers to at least 150 U.S. destinations and more than 70 international destinations in 43 countries, according to its website.
About 286,000 passengers a day travel through Hartsfield-Jackson, and there is an average of 2,100 arrivals and departures daily.
