“I have been a public servant my whole life, and I love this great city,” Mahone said in a statement. “I have a strong track record for bringing people to the table — which I
think should be large and full of a diversity of voices — to find new ways to collectively solve our
shared problems. I look for the common ground in the discussion, bring in examples and ideas from other successes, and work to find a shared solution. I believe that drives lasting change.”
She is president of the Southern Energy Efficiency Alliance and served as Atlanta’s first Director of Sustainability.
