Atlanta Falcons 2017 Preseason Schedule: Miami, Pittsburgh & More

ATLANTA, GA -- The Atlanta Falcons released their 2017 preseason schedule this week -- and it offers some perennial heavy hitters.

The Falcons, fresh off a Super Bowl appearance in February, will be looking to make it back to the big game after securing a number of key players on the rosters, namely Desmond Trufant, who Atlanta signed this week to a $70 million contract.

The Falcons will look to repeat as NFC South Champions, something that has never been done since the division's conception. Here is the Falcons 2017 preseason schedule:

Week 1: Atlanta Falcons at Miami Dolphins (Hard Rock Stadium)
Week 2: Atlanta Falcons at Pittsburgh Steelers (Heinz Field)
Week 3: Atlanta Falcons vs. Arizona Cardinals (Mercedes-Benz Stadium)
Week 4: Atlanta Falcons vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (Mercedes-Benz Stadium)

Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff and coach Dan Quinn are eagerly awaiting the NFL draft, which is later this month. The Falcons pick No. 31 in the first round.

This is a little different for us,” Dimitroff told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “We’ve been up in the 20s over the last 10 years here and there, but to be at 31, I think it’s all about patience. I also think there are opportunities.”
