Atlanta Police Department Hiring, Holds Recruiting Event
Citizens with an interest in law enforcement should attend this recruitment event.
ATLANTA, GA — The Atlanta Police Department is hiring, and to find new recruits, they're holding a recruitment event Tuesday evening.
At 7 p.m. at the Atlanta Public Safety Headquarters, job interviews will begin. Police say to expect to be there for a few hours, and to show up early.
The police department is accepting SAT, ACT, COMPASS, CPE and Accuplacer test scores.

New officer pay ranges from $48,500 to $71,792.

They don't require documentation to attend the event, but if you have them available, it's a good idea to bring them. Here's what they're looking for:
- A copy of your High School Diploma, Certified High School Transcripts, or G.E.D. Certificate
- A copy of your original Social Security Card
- A copy of your Birth Certificate – from the Bureau of Vital Statistics
- A copy of your current valid State Driver’s License
- Two passport style photographs
- An original copy of your Driver’s Record, including the past seven (7) years history transcript from the Department of Motor Vehicles in EVERY state in which you have EVER held a valid Driver’s License
