Atlanta Public Schools' 2017 Rehearsal & Commencement Schedules

ATLANTA, GA -- Cap and gown season has began in earnest for the Atlanta Public Schools system. With the end of the academic school year coming to an end, graduation planning is in full swing for many students and schools in the city.

This year APS has decided to have most of its spring commencement ceremonies at the Georgia World Congress Center, Hall C3 on 285 Andrew Young Blvd, Atlanta, Ga 30303. The roomy venue has plenty of parking and is a familiar landmark to visitors of downtown Atlanta. All graduation ceremonies will take place between May 18-26.

Here are the 2017 rehearsal and commencement schedules for Atlanta Public Schools:

Thursday, May 18

Adult Education Graduation at Crim High School, 4:00 p.m., 256 Clifton St. SE

Saturday, May 20

Drew Charter School, 4 p.m., Drew Charter School Gymnasium, 900 East Lake Blvd

Tuesday, May 23

Crim, 5:30 p.m., Georgia World Congress Center (rehearsal is Monday, May 22 at 8:30 a.m. -- 9:45 a.m.)

Coretta Scott King/BEST Academy, 7:30 p.m., Georgia World Congress Center (rehearsal is Monday, May 22 at 10:15 a.m. -- 11:30 a.m.)

Wednesday, May 24

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, 3:30 p.m., Georgia World Congress Center (rehearsal is Monday, May 22 at 3:30 -- 4:45 p.m.)

Douglass, 5:30 p.m., Georgia World Congress Center (rehearsal is Monday, May 22 at 12:30 -- 1:15 a.m.)

South Atlanta, 7:30 p.m., Georgia World Congress Center (rehearsal is Monday, May 22 at 1:45 -- 3 p.m.)

Therrell, 6:30 p.m., Georgia World Congress Center (rehearsal is Wednesday, May 24 at noon -- 1:15 p.m.)
