Atlanta Top 10 Fugitive Arrested

Rufus Hurst was wanted for a February 2017 carjacking and armed robbery. He was arrested Thursday morning.

ATLANTA, GA -- One of the Atlanta police department's top 10 fugitives was arrested Thursday morning. Rufus Hurst, 25, was wanted for for a February 2017 carjacking and armed robbery. He was arrested by the FBI led Atlanta Metro Major Offender task force at a College Park residence.

Hurst was wanted for a carjacking and armed robbery that occurred at 644 Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard on February 11, 2017. Hurst allegedly produced a handgun and pointed it at the victim and demanded and took the victim’s 2004 Nissan Maxima.
