Recently named (once again) America's favorite fast-food chain, one family has another reason to hold Chick-fil-A dear to their hearts.

HALL COUNTY, GA — A local Chick-fil-A employee in this northern Atlanta suburb is being called a hero after he jumped through a drive-thru window and saved a 6-year-old child from choking. Teenager Logan Simmons was working the drive-thru when he saw the boy choking from becoming entangled in his seat belt. Chick-fil-A gave a surveillance video to Channel 2 of the moment when Simmons saw what was going on and then sprung into action.

"I just jumped out the window and ran straight down to the car," Simmons told the station. “It was the quickest option. It was right there and I saw the other car right there.”

Simmons jumped into the car while it was in the drive-thru lane, pulled out a pocketknife and cut the little boy free. The child's mother was begging for help when Simmons rushed in and prevented what could have been a tragedy.

“You could see he was turning red and losing pigmentation in his face," Simmons said.

An hour later, the boy’s mother called Simmons and thanked him for saving her son’s life.
