City Springs Theatre Company Announces Canine Auditions for the Role of “Toto” Oct. 30 in Sandy Springs
Bring your Cairn Terrier or similar breed to audition for the upcoming production of The Wizard of Oz, in Sandy Springs
ATLANTA -- City Springs Theatre Company (CSTC) is currently seeking a small local dog to perform the role of “Toto” in the upcoming production of The Wizard of Oz. Auditions will be held on October 30th, 2025, at the City Springs Theatre Company Studios at 8601 Dunwoody Place Suite 136, Sandy Springs, GA 30350. This is a paid position.
The production is looking for a Cairn Terrier or similar breed that weighs no more than 15 pounds, and is capable of the following behavioral skills or traits:
1. Can stay calm in large groups

2. Responds to basic commands and instructions (stay, sit, come, etc.)
3. Comfortable being held by one or more performers at a time.

4. Exhibits no signs of aggression
5. Can stay focused while in a distracting environment
6. Hypo-allergenic dogs are a plus, but not a requirement!
Dog owners must be present at all times for the dog’s audition. Please be prepared to demonstrate skills listed above. You and your dog must be available from the first rehearsal (November 17) through the closing performance (December 28.)
