Dash To These Top Bakeries In GA, New Survey Says (patch.com) — Metro Atlanta dessert lovers get good news as two local bakeries, Alpine Bakery and Trattoria in Alpharetta and Sammy Cheezecake in East Point, land on DoorDash’s list of top 50 holiday bakeries nationwide. Both spots earn high customer ratings for towering cheesecakes, rich cakes, and indulgent pastries, giving Atlantans nearby options for standout seasonal sweets.
   

2. Editor-In-Chief talks AJC's digital future as print edition ends after 157 years (wabe.org) — Atlanta’s daily newspaper, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, will stop its print edition after 157 years, with the final paper scheduled for Dec. 31, 2025. Editor-in-chief Leroy Chapman Jr. explains how the AJC will shift jobs and coverage toward a more robust digital presence, including apps, newsletters, and podcasts.
   

3. Midtown bar owner reports threatening call as case against Atlanta police officer moves forward (11alive.com) — A Midtown Atlanta bar owner says he received a threatening phone call just hours after meeting with Fulton County prosecutors about a case involving Atlanta police officer Garrett Rolfe. The dispute stems from a June altercation outside X Midtown, where an employee was initially jailed but Rolfe was later charged with simple assault and placed on administrative leave as the case moves forward.
   

4. Atlanta police to holiday shoppers: 'You will see more police officers' (fox5atlanta.com) — Atlanta police and fire officials are ramping up patrols and safety efforts across major shopping areas like Atlantic Station, Greenbriar Mall, and Buckhead as holiday crowds grow. Leaders warn that porch package thefts, car break-ins, and fire risks typically spike in December, and they’re urging Atlanta residents to stay alert, secure valuables, and follow strict cooking, heater, and fireworks precautions.
   

5. Car seen driving on the Beltline trail by Krog Street Market (atlantanewsfirst.com) — A driver was caught on video steering a car along the Atlanta Beltline’s Eastside trail near Krog Street Market, raising fresh concerns about trail safety. The Beltline says official access points are secured and is working with the city and nearby property owners to close off any gaps, while regular users urge extra awareness on the popular path.
