- CNN is moving out of its iconic downtown Atlanta office building. While most weekday channel anchors are in New York or Washington D.C., digital and international operations will remain in Atlanta until the end of the year. CNN staff and operations will move to the Techwood Turner Broadcasting campus in Midtown. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- Atlanta police are investigating a shooting where one man was injured. Police arrived at Centennial Olympic Park Drive on Thursday night and found a man who had been cut on his face. The man told police he was meeting up with someone to sell him sneakers, and the suspect shot at him, but only the victim's vehicle was struck by the bullets, which caused debris that injured him. - The Marietta City Council donated a $500,000 check to Cobb County's Habitat for Humanity. The donation will fund the city's public service housing program, providing six affordable homes with zero interest for city and school district employees. The Marietta Public Service Housing Program will aim to help employees live in the same area where they work. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- According to weather officials, a tornado was confirmed in the area of the Hartsfield-Jackson International Atlanta Airport on Thursday. The National Weather Service's Peachtree City Office has yet to confirm how strong the tornado was and its damage; however, the airport saw several flight delays of up to an hour. (Atlanta Patch)
- Atlanta police arrested a suspect after a chase through an Atlanta airport with stolen luggage. Chase Pittman was charged with theft by taking and removing a bag from an airport terminal. Both stolen bags were returned to their owners. (WSB Atlanta)
