Metro Atlanta Crashes, Big Rig Blaze Forces Traffic Delays
The Thursday morning commute left drivers battling delays due to several crashes.

ATLANTA, GA — Metro Atlanta travelers faced several delays due to multiple crashes during their Thursday morning commute.
A big rig caught fire around 4:45 a.m. on the I-85 ramp to I-285 west, causing traffic to be rerouted to Buford Highway, according to the WSB-TV Traffic Center.
Although the ramp was reopened shortly after 9 a.m., WSB-TV tweeted there were still traffic delays leaving Gwinnett County into DeKalb County due to the hours-long cleanup. The news outlet shared an image of a massive interstate backup near Doraville.
