A Spalding County sheriff's deputy was fired and arrested after being accused of sending obscene photos seen by 16- and 9-year-old girls.
GRIFFIN, GA — A Georgia sheriff’s deputy was arrested on accusations that he sent obscene images to a child via social media, the Georgia Bureau of Investigations reports.
Former Spalding County Sheriff’s Deputy Mason Keith Lumpkin was charged on Tuesday with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and of electronically furnishing obscene materials to a minor.
Investigators say the 26-year-old Lumpkin, of Griffin, used Snapchat to send lewd electronic pictures and messages to a 16-year-old girl and a 9-year-old girl. Both girls saw the images, authorities said.
