Enjoy A Craft Cocktail & Other Events Around Atlanta For Earth Day
Metro Atlanta has multiple events going on for Earth Day, Saturday, April 22.
ATLANTA, GA -- Metro Atlanta has multiple events planned for Earth Day 2017, from craft cocktails to "plantable burgers" to area cleanups. Saturday's events are designed to build upon appreciation for the planet and sustainability efforts around clean water, air and food.
Here are several events on tap for Earth Day around Atlanta:
● Atlantic Station and Keep Atlanta Beautiful, Inc., are celebrating Earth Day with a community recycling event, sustainable art festival and more.

● Kroger’s Atlanta Division is celebrating green living with its “Sustainability Lives Here” program, which includes more than $60 in digital coupons toward eco-friendly certifications like Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance, Forest Stewardship Council, plus organic and natural products.
● On April 22, enjoy a specialty Earth Day craft cocktail for $7 in exchange of paper or plastic recyclables.

● In Cobb County, the second annual Georgia AgriScience and Outdoor Recreation Expo. 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Jim Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Road, Marietta.
● Earth Day stream cleanup. 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Olley Creek at Tramore Park, 2150 East-West Connector, Austell.
● In celebration of Earth Day and in partnership with the City of Acworth and the City of Kennesaw, Cobb EMC is hosting free recycling events on Saturday, April 22 and Saturday, April 29. OnSaturday, April 22, the event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 3883 Old McEver Road, Acworth, GA 30101 and at 1260 Cobb Parkway N, Marietta, GA 30060.
● Starting April 16 through April 23, Whiskey Blue will feature a full lineup of Mother Earth Brewing’s sips on draft with each tap highlighting different flavors from one of America’s most environmentally-minded breweries. Featuring Mother Earth’s best selling Weeping Willow Wit, Sisters of the Moon IPA, Endless River Kolsch and the Munich-style Dunkel Lager Dark Cloud, one dollar from every draft beer purchased will be donated to Trees Atlanta. So drink up to give back, and help Atlanta preserve its long-time nickname, “The City Inside a Forest.”
● On April 22 from open to close, participating BurgerFi locations nationwide are encouraging guests to “Go Green.” With any burger purchase made that day, guests will receive a free “plantable burger” they can plant at home to grow their own lettuce. BurgerFi’s signature green-style burgers use fresh, crisp, hand-cut lettuce instead of a traditional bun.
