Here are the top five stories today in Atlanta:
- A woman was killed at a gas station on Friday morning in College Park. The victim, who has not been publicly identified at the time of publishing, was shot and killed at a Shell gas station in College Park. Another woman was caught on security cameras walking through the parking lot with a gun. Police are investigating the murder. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- The interstate was shut down early Friday morning after a car fire and crash blocked all lanes. Interstate 20 westbound near the exit to Interstate 75/86 northbound was completely blocked around 7:15 a.m., causing massive traffic and delays. Luckily, police worked quickly to clear the lanes, and traffic was able to resume after 8:30 a.m. As of Friday, the cause of the accident has not been reported. (Atlanta Patch)
- A man was killed in Atlanta while trying to stop someone from breaking into cars. The victim was shot late Thursday night near Manuel's Tavern. According to reports, he was attempting to prevent another individual from breaking into people's cars along the road. The victim has not been identified. Police are searching for the suspect. (Atlanta Patch)

- The state of Georgia is experiencing severe drought conditions. Nearly 68 percent of the state is suffering from a D2 Severe Drought. Only three measurable days of rain have fallen in Atlanta in the whole month of October, and the month-to-date rainfall is well below the average.
