Four Drum Gun Gang Members Indicted On 48 Charges

The alleged gang members are facing charges of murder, armed robbery and carjacking.

ATLANTA, GA -- Four teenagers who were allegedly members of a violent gang have been indicted on 48 counts of murder, armed robbery and carjacking. On Friday, a Fulton County grand jury indicted Kordale "Juke" Milliam, 15; Lovette "Bug" Tennie, 17; Iman "Mon" Weems, 16; and Mike "Lil Mike" Washington, 17. The teens are allegedly members of the Gangster Killer Bloods criminal street gang, and are charged with a series of crimes between Feb. 11 and March 7, 2017, that terrorized southwest Atlanta and ultimately led to two murders.

Prosecutors said the crime spree began when the teens attempted to rob a victim at gunpoint on Charlestown Drive. Minutes later along Herschel Road, they allegedly robbed a different victim at gunpoint of his wallet, cell phone, and credit card. On February 20, 2017, police said the men defendants robbed another man at gunpoint and hijacked his Volkswagen Jetta in College Park.

Two days later, on February 22, 2017, on Browns Mills Road, the defendants allegedly robbed a female victim at gunpoint. During that incident, they stole her wallet. On February 28, 2017, they allegedly robbed another woman at gunpoint and hijacked her red Mercedes in East Point.

Through the course of the investigation, Instagram posts and other cell phone photographs were discovered that showed the defendants and their friends posing in and around the stolen car.

On March 1, 2017, the defendants allegedly held a male victim at gunpoint and stole his Mazda vehicle in Hapeville. A day later, on March 2, 2017, police said the defendants committed another armed robbery on Sierra Road in Atlanta in which they stole the victim’s money, driver’s license, and cell phone. That same day along Sable Trail in Atlanta, the defendants allegedly used semi-automatic weapons to rob a male victim at gunpoint and hijack his Dodge Charger. Most of the victims were robbed at home in their driveways.

Sometime between March 2, 2017, and March 3, 2017, prosecutors said the defendants murdered 26-year-old Newton Gordon who was sitting in a vehicle parked in the driveway of his friend’s home on Stonewall Lane in Atlanta. Several days later, on March 7, 2017, they allegedly attempted to rob a male victim at an address on Sable View in Atlanta. As they approached the victim, he began to fire upon the defendants. The group returned gunfire, and in the process, 16-year-old Jerren Carmichael, a fellow gang member who was participating in the armed robbery, was shot in the head. The four defendants drove Carmichael to Atlanta Medical Center South and fled the scene. Carmichael died at the hospital.

Police said the defendants are members of the criminal street gang called “GSHINE” aka “Gangster Killer Bloods,” which is a subset of the “Bloods” gang. The defendants are referred to as the “Drum Gun Killers” based on the type of semi-automatic weapon that was used during the crimes. The machine gun has a “drum-like” magazine that distinguishes it from other similar weapons. The gun was captured in Instagram photos posted by the defendants during the crime spree.
