ATLANTA, GA — Adopt a feline friend — or two, or maybe even three — at one of six metro Atlanta PetSmart locations during National Pet Adoption Week, which kicked off July 19 and runs through Sunday.

Atlanta-based nonprofit Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelters and PetSmart Charities are placing 150 adoptable cats and kittens to the six Atlanta-area locations in search of their forever homes as kitten season starts. All adopters will get a "Welcome Home" gift bag filled with starter food, litter, toys and a $10 PetSmart gift card, Furkids officials said in a news release.
