GA Bojangles Manager Arrested In Fatal Shooting Of Worker's Father: Report
A shift manager at a Bojangles is facing murder charges in connection with the shooting death of an employee's father in Georgia.

PALMETTO, GA — A shift manager at a Georgia Bojangles has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of his employee's father, according to police and WAGA-TV.
The deadly shooting happened around 1:15 p.m. Sunday in the 9100 block of Roosevelt Highway, Palmetto Police said. First responders found a man dead in the parking lot when they arrived, police said.
The shooting was the result of a dispute between the man, who the family reportedly identified as Dominique Goodman, and another man. Palmetto Police Chief Bryan Hergesell identified the second man as Maurice Nolan Evans, of Forest Park.

The family told WAGA-TV Goodman was called to the Bojangles because his daughter reported her shift manager had been teasing her. The manager, who was sent home, was in the parking lot when Goodman arrived, the news outlet reported.
"Which any parent would do if somebody arguing with their kid, you know," Marlene Lately told WAGA-TV. "They coming up there to see what’s going on, and I guess that’s what he did. I feel like she lost everything, her father, you know, she will never get him back. That’s sad and that man should’ve thought before he made that decision."

Fulton County Jail records on Monday showed Evans was arrested on charges of murder, aggravated assault and possession of firearm or knife during the commission of a felony. As of late morning, he had not been granted bond, jail records showed.
Bojangles sent a statement to WAGA-TV. It read in part:
"... Our hearts go out to the victim and all those impacted by this senseless act. The safety of our guests and team members is always our top priority. The franchisee is fully cooperating with local law enforcement as they conduct their investigation. We strongly condemn all acts of violence. Out of respect for everyone involved and the integrity of the ongoing investigation, we will defer further details to the police."
