Here are the top five stories in Atlanta today:
- Two metro Atlanta party planners have reached new heights while hosting Georgia's first balloon convention. Oscar Baker and Lery Massey, co-owners of Lou And Lee’s Events and Designs and the "Bow Tie Crew," held the event at the Fairfield Inn in Duluth for over 75 registered. (WSB Atlanta)
- A home for young adults received a makeover from the United Way of Greater Atlanta. Volunteers finished two beautification projects at the Covenant House Georgia, which serves and works with young people working to overcome homelessness and escape trafficking. According to Covenant House executive director Dr. Alie Redd, the support from volunteers is especially meaningful as the nonprofit is operating on a slim budget. (WSB Atlanta)
