Georgia Election Results 2016: Donald Trump Wins Georgia
Polls closed in Georgia near the beginning of the night, but the state wasn't called until late.

ATLANTA, GA — Donald Trump appears poised to win Georgia, one more state in the Republican candidate's surprising race to the presidency Tuesday night.
National media outlets are projecting Trump will win the state.
Votes counted in Georgia have Trump leading with 1,993,143 votes to Clinton's 1,747,018 votes with 149 of 159 counties reported. See national results.

More than 2.3 million ballots were already cast in the state during the early voting period. And Election Day traffic at the polls could also break records.
Long lines and sporadic technical issues greeted voters early Tuesday morning. A polling site at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody will stay open an extra 30 minutes after voters and volunteers were evacuated for a fire alarm.
Voters at one Atlanta polling place were treated to pizza from Tyrese Gibson.

Presidential race selections include Republican Donald Trump, Democrat Hillary Clinton and Libertarian Gary Johnson. Green Party candidate Jill Stein is not on the ballot in Georgia.
Voters statewide will be choosing a U.S. senator, selecting from incumbent Republican Johnny Isakson, Democrat Jim Barksdale and Libertarian Allen Buckley.

Federal election monitors were out at the polls in metro Atlanta on Tuesday, according to the Justice Department. Particularly, they'll be monitoring polling locations in Gwinnett and Fulton counties.
