ATLANTA, GA — Three players will have the chance to win $1 million on New Year's Day with a first-of-a-kind scratch-off, Georgia Lottery officials said Wednesday.

Georgia Millionaire is now in play, with tickets currently being sold at Georgia Lottery retailers statewide.

“Georgia Millionaire is an exciting new way for our players to win big, and we are thrilled to celebrate the New Year by creating three new millionaires in Georgia,” Georgia Lottery Corp. President and CEO Gretchen Corbin said in a news release. “Every Georgia Millionaire ticket purchased supports our mission to maximize revenues for Georgia Lottery-funded HOPE and Pre-K, benefiting students and families across our state.”

How Georgia Millionaire Works

Georgia Millionaire players have a chance to win $10,000 instant cash prizes, lottery officials said. Georgia Lottery lists its retailers online.

Then, non-winning tickets can be entered into the lottery's second-chance drawing, which will be held as the New Year's Eve ball drops to ring in 2026. At that time, three players will win $1 million each, lottery officials said.
