High School Locked Down As SWAT Situation Unfolded In Atlanta: Reports
Booker T. Washington High School was forced into lockdown during a homecoming event Wednesday night, a media report said.
ATLANTA — A shooting and SWAT situation forced Booker T. Washington High School into lockdown during a homecoming event Wednesday night, according to reports.
Police responded to a Texaco gas station around 6:15 p.m. in the area of Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard and Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, FOX 5 Atlanta reported, adding there was law enforcement activity around neighboring Morris Brown College and nearby homes.
People in the area of a home near Newcastle Street Northwest and Beckwith Street Southwest were moved by police around 8 p.m., according to FOX 5.
