  1. Authorities are investigating a shooting that left one man dead. The shooting took place early Thursday morning in the 3500 block of Campbellton Road. The man was rushed to the hospital, where he died of his injuries. His identity has not been released. (Patch)

  3. It's the holiday weekend, and there's plenty to do all around Atlanta. There will be Cirque Du Soleil shows, a seafood-packed Feast of the Seven Fishes for a culinary adventure, and much more.   4. Zoo Atlanta will be closed on Friday and Saturday ahead of dangerously cold temperatures. Zoo Atlanta announced the decision was made to provide care and protection to the animals who call the zoo their home. Zoo employees are working to ensure all the animals are protected from the extreme weather conditions. The zoo will also be closed on Christmas Day. (WSB Atlanta)
  5. Due to the impending dangerous weather, the Georgia Department of Transportation has warned drivers of poor road conditions. To protect people and reduce the possibility of accidents, I-75 South Metro Express and the Northwest Corridors are closed in both directions until deemed safe. The shutdown began last night at 10:30 p.m. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
