One lucky Atlanta Falcons fan will go down in history by being the one who opens the roof for the first time.

ATLANTA, GA – One lucky fan will go down in history by opening the Mercedes-Benz Stadium roof for the public for first time.

"We wanted fans to tell us why they love the Falcons and what makes this team so special to them," said Heather Sautter, MBS spokesperson. "We are excited to have a Falcons record-breaking crowd for our first open practice in Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Fans have rallied around our team and it shows how excited this city is for football season. We wanted to tell our fans thank you and show that we appreciate them and their support by giving them a once in a lifetime opportunity to open the roof!”

The doors at Mercedes-Benz Stadium will open at 10 a.m. Sunday, there will be activities on the front porch of the stadium and around the building with a chance to see a performance by the Falcons cheerleaders, meet Freddie Falcon and see youth football on the field.
