Life Sentence For Man Who Sex Trafficked, Raped Homeless Woman

Louis Allen trafficked the homeless woman out for sex, then raped her at knifepoint.

ATLANTA — An Atlanta man has been sentenced to life in prison plus 40 years in a violent assault and sex trafficking case. Louis Allen, 54, was convicted of multiple charges by a Fulton County jury and was sentenced by Judge Kelly Lee Ellerbe.

The victim, in this case, met Louis Allen around May 15, 2018. She said she was homeless and had nowhere to go. Allen told the victim she could live with him in a hotel room he rented. The next day, Allen picked her up. When they arrived at the hotel, there were other women in the room. Allen provided her with food, clothing, and a place to stay, but soon learned Allen was arranging for a number of women to have sex with men in exchange for money.

Allen created social media pages for the victim on sites such as Tagged, Badoo, and Scout to solicit sex in exchange for money. Allen sold drugs and provided the woman with illegal narcotics, prosecutors said. While she was with Allen, they moved between several different hotels, and when his drug dealing was no longer profitable, the environment changed.

After the other girls left, Allen began selling the woman for sex. The victim told Allen she did not want to and for him to leave her alone. Allen became physically abusive, and while the woman repeatedly attempted to leave, Allen always found her and said she owed him money. A few days before Allen's arrest, the victim said Allen punched her in the face.

On June 24, 2018, the victim hid at a home in Atlanta. Allen found her, and this time, he was accompanied by someone armed with a handgun. Allen told the victim to get in his vehicle, and then drove her to an apartment along Troy Street. Allen ordered the woman to go into one of the apartments to shower. Once inside, the woman refused, and Allen then raped her at knifepoint. Allen told the victim during the rape that having sex with him would allow her to pay off some of her debt.
