Lin Wood Being Investigated Regarding GA Election Fraud: Reports
Georgia's secretary of state wants to know if Trump supporter Lin Wood was actually a Georgia resident when he voted here in November.

ATLANTA, GA — One of the proponents of former President Donald Trump’s claims of election fraud may have cheated at the ballot box, according to reports.
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has launched an investigation into whether attorney and Trump supporter Lin Wood voted illegally, WSB-TV in Atlanta is reporting.
The state is looking to see if Wood is really a Georgia resident, following an email obtained by WSB-TV confirming he had relocated: “I have been domiciled in South Carolina for several months after purchasing property in April.”

Late Tuesday, Wood denied residing in South Carolina during the election but told CNN that he had changed his residency from Georgia as of Monday.
"I have been a resident of the State of Georgia since 1955,” he told CNN. “I have changed my residency to South Carolina yesterday."

Following Trump’s presidential election loss in November, Wood was one of a number of conservative lawyers who surrounded the former commander in chief promoting false claims of widespread electoral fraud. He unsuccessfully filed several lawsuits in an attempt to overturn Georgia election results that won the state for now-President Joe Biden.
Wood also was among those in the Trump camp threatening jail for Raffensperger and Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp for not cooperating with the Republican president.
“They will soon be going to jail,” Wood said in a tweet that has since been taken down.
Raffensperger could not be reached Tuesday evening for comment.
Georgia state law makes it illegal to vote in an election if a person has moved out of state with the intention of setting up residency.
During Georgia rallies intended to help the state’s incumbent senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue keep their seats and maintain a Republican majority, Wood parroted Trump’s baseless allegations that the election was rigged and admonished Georgians not to vote.
Last month, a judge dismissed Wood from a defamation case in Delaware representing former Trump campaign worker Carter Page, the Associated Press reports.
Citing Wood’s behavior representing Trump in Georgia and Wisconsin, Superior Court Judge Craig Karsnitz said Wood “exhibited a toxic stew of mendacity, prevarication and surprising incompetence.”
