Live Georgia Traffic Map: Find Congested Routes, Construction Zones, Traffic Cameras
Thanksgiving weekend was expected to put 1.2 million Georgia drivers on the road. Here's a look at which routes to avoid on the trip home.

ATLANTA, GA — More than 1.4 million Georgia residents were traveling this Thanksgiving, with more than 1.2 million projected to be on the roadways, according to AAA South. The travel forecast was a 3.5 percent increase over last year as gas prices are among the in the past decade.
If you're heading home Sunday, the good news is that it isn't the worst time to head home. Google Maps data suggests that was Saturday. But, if you're stuck in traffic Sunday, that really doesn't make the drive any easier.
The map below shows heavy traffic in red, medium traffic in yellow and open roads in green. Construction spots are noted with icons. Where possible, lanes typically closed for work zones will be open for holiday travel.
