Look Forward To A Beautiful Thanksgiving Day In Metro Atlanta

PEACHTREE CITY, GA -- After last week's downpour of cold, heavy rains and a late-week freeze warning, Mother Nature followed up with a near-perfect fall weekend, and now is ready to set metro Atlanta's holiday table with a beautiful Thanksgiving Day forecast ... even though there's a slight chance of showers between now and Thursday.

National Weather Service forecasters say Thursday will be sunny with a high around 59, followed by a low around 39 Thursday night. However, there's a 40 percent chance of rain Friday after 8 am, leading into Friday night and a likely chance of showers after 8 pm. On Saturday, forecasters are predicting a 70% chance of precipitation and a mostly cloudy day with a high of 58.

On Saturday night, it will be mostly cloudy and a 40 percent chance of showers with a low around 46. Sunday's forecast calls for a 20 percent chance of showers and a high near 61.
