Ludacris To Join GSU As Artist-In-Residence
Georgia State University said Ludacris will join their Creative Media Industries Institute as an artist-in-residence.

ATLANTA, GA — Ludacris is joining the Georgia State University's Creative Media Industries Institute (CMII) as an artist-in-residence, according to a release from the university. The rapper, whose given name is Chris Bridges, will support the school's students with his experience in entrepreneurship in music and film.
"Chris is an incredibly talented artist and has so much industry knowledge to share," said CMII executive director Brennen Dicker, according to the school's release. "We are excited to see how our students, and really the entire institute, will benefit from this great new partnership."
Ludacris is a GSU alumnus.

The CMII focuses on preparing students for the music, film and video game industries in the Atlanta area, going beyond traditional education.
He said, as an alumnus, he feels connected to the university, the release says.

"Georgia State is one of the most innovative and diverse universities in the country," he said, "I couldn’t imagine a better place to work with students than CMII."
Ludacris isn't just in the music industry — he's also an entrepreneur. The school says he has over 20 million records sold, produced and hosted the show "Fear Factor," has credits in television and film, and is shooting the ninth installment of "The Fast and the Furious."
With all that, he's still in the music business. Ludacris will release his 10th solo album in 2020.
