Male Beaten During Armed Robbery In Atlanta's Fourth Ward: Police
Atlanta Police released video footage appearing to show two males beating another male during what police say was an armed robbery.
ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta Police have released video footage of what they say is the armed robbery and physical assault of a male in the 800 block of Willoughby Way Northeast.
Officers responded around 4:30 p.m. Sunday to the scene. A search of the provided address indicates the incident happened near a skatepark in Historic Fourth Ward.
Police said the male, who was not identified, was physically assaulted and robbed by two other unidentified males. One of the suspects had a gun, police said.

The 30-second graphic video footage appears to show the two suspects beating the male, who was seemingly laying on the ground at the time. On the video, a person is seemingly heard saying, "Don't shoot him."
Police said the gun discharged during the incident, but the male did not suffer any gunshot wounds. Both of the suspects ran from the scene, police said.

When police arrived, they said the male was disoriented and had multiple lacerations to his head and face. He was treated by Grady Emergency Medical Services, police said.
Atlanta Police's Robbery Unit is investigating the incident. Police did not release descriptions of the suspects.
Police asked for anonymous tipsters to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta, 404-577-8477, or text the tip and CGSA to 738477. A reward of up to $5,000 is available, police said.
