Man Convicted In Fatal Shooting At 'Candy Lady's' Home In Atlanta
Anthony "Uno" Rucker was found guilty Sept. 22 of a fatal shooting and armed robbery at the "Candy Lady's" home three years ago.

ATLANTA, GA -- A notorious gang member was recently convicted in a fatal shooting and robbery that took place at the home of a woman who sold candy in an Atlanta neighborhood. Anthony “Uno” Rucker was found guilty Sept. 22 of the heinous crimes that happened at the "Candy Lady's" home three years ago.
Rucker is facing life without parole when he is sentenced next month, according to the Fulton County District Attorney's Office. (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. Or, if you have an iPhone, download the free Patch app.)
Fulton prosecutors said that the charges stem from a January 2014 incident in which Rucker knocked on the door of Patricia Finch, who operates a business selling candy from her home. Rucker bought a Snicker bar from Finch and went on his way.

Four hours later, Rucker returned to the home with an unidentified assailant, Fulton prosecutors said. This time, Zaccarie Printup, Finch’s son, opened the door and was "immediately shot in the stomach by the defendant," according to a news release from Fulton's DA.

Rucker and the accomplice then barged into the home, running directly to Finch’s bedroom, where they encountered her husband. Rucker opened fire Tommy Finch, who later died from his injuries, the DA said.
Rucker then turned his weapon toward Finch and held her at gunpoint while his accomplice stole three cellphones and two televisions, the DA said.
Investigators with the Atlanta Police Department were able to track one of the stolen phones to Rucker's ex-girlfriend, who admitted to authorities that Rucker gave her the phone as a gift.
Rucker was found guilty of multiple crimes, including participation in street gang activity, five counts of felony murder, three counts of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated battery, burglary in the first degree, possession of a firearm during the commission of crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Given that the gang member has been previously convicted in five felony cases, he is recidivist under Georgia law and is required to be sentenced to life without the possibility of parole on October 2, when he is due back in court.
