Here are the top five stories today in Atlanta:
- Atlanta law enforcement is investigating the death of a man who laid down in front of traffic on the highway. On Monday evening at around 11:41 p.m., police found a man dead in the roadway of I-75 South near Central Avenue. The man was reportedly lying in the fast lane of the roadway when he was struck and killed by a driver. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. The man's identity has not been released at this time. (WSB Atlanta)
- A new self-service wine bar and market has opened in Underwood Hills. Taste Wine Bar is located at the Works complex off Chattahoochee Avenue. Customers can sample 50 different wines from self-service taps. Additionally, there are over 100 bottled wines for purchase in the market. (Eater Atlanta)
- A shooting on Monday night has left one woman in critical condition. At around 11:15 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the 400 block of Highland Avenue. According to authorities, the shooting occurred due to a fight between a man and a woman. No information on the suspect in the shooting has been provided at this time. (Atlanta Patch)
