Man Fatally Shot At SW Atlanta Gas Station: Police

ATLANTA — Police are investigating a fatal shooting at a gas station near Atlanta’s Sylvan Hills neighborhood.

Around 7:30 p.m., on Monday police responded to a report that a person was shot at the Texaco in the 1700 block of Sylvan Road, police said.

Officers arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot, authorities said.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he later died. Further details surrounding the shooting were available and police said the investigation was ongoing.
