A 6-month-old baby's dad claimed robbers kidnapped his son, but Clayton County authorities found the child's body Tuesday evening.

RIVERDALE, GA — The body of a missing 6-month-old baby boy was found Tuesday night after a three-day multi-county search and his father has been named a suspect in connection with his disappearance, Clayton County Police said.
Missing 6-month-old Nnakai Pratt was found three days after his father, Antonio Pearce, reported to Clayton County police that the child was abducted during a robbery.

The boy's twin sibling remained with their mother, who investigators believe is not connected to the case, FOX Atlanta reported.
Pearce is considered a suspect in the child's disappearance and was arrested on unrelated charges, including possession of marijuana and multiple traffic violations. FOX said.

The child was reported missing around 8:30 a.m. Sunday from the 100 block of Valley Hill, police said.
Nnakai was reported missing after dad said he had been robbed at gunpoint and that the robbers had taken his son from a car seat, police said. Pearce told officers the robbers then fled in an unknown direction, police said.
However, police said inconsistent testimony and physical signs of foul play made matters suspicious.
"At this moment, the facts surrounding the disappearance of baby Nnakai Pratt are highly questionable, and CCPD detectives have deemed Nnakai's father to be a suspect in his sudden disappearance," police said in a news release.
Pearce was arrested on unrelated charges Sunday, police said, though Clayton County Jail records showed he was booked around 4 a.m. Monday on two charges of driving while license suspended/revoked, child restraint violation and possession of marijuana.

On Sunday, the hours-long search for Nnakai included Georgia Piedmont Region's cadaver dogs and Fayette County Sheriff's Office's bloodhounds.
The next day, police said they expanded the search area and utilized more cadaver dogs from Spalding County's Land Air Water Search team. Still, police said they have not located Nnakai.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has issued a missing child alert and said Nnakai was last seen wearing a brown onesie.
Authorities asked anyone with information on the case to call police, (770) 477-3747, or dial 911 immediately.
The GBI said anyone with information regarding Nnakai's whereabouts can also call the anonymous tip line, 1 (800) 597-8477, or download the See Something, Send Something mobile app.
