  1. MARTA has announced there will be more frequent train service this New Year's. Starting on Saturday, trains will run every seven-and-a-half minutes on the Red/Gold Line between Lindbergh Center Station and Airport Station. The Blue/Green Line between Ashby Station and King Memorial Station will run on the same schedule. After 5:00 p.m., train frequency will increase to six minutes. 3. Zoo Atlanta is expecting a very special delivery in 2023. Willie B. Jr, a beloved 22-year-old gorilla is going to be a first-time father! He and Shalia, a 20-year-old female from his troop, will soon be parents. The infant is due between May and June of 2023.

  4. The Fulton County Board of Health is hiring for several positions. Experienced temporary contractors are welcome to apply – especially those with an interest in serving the community. The job fair will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Jan. 12. Interested parties should bring their resume to College Park Regional Health Center. 5. Officials are investigating a house fire in southwest Atlanta which looks suspicious. The fire took place on the 100 block of Burbank Street. This was the second fire at the location – and both fires took place on the same night. No one was home during either of the fires. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
