Murder Charges In Arrest Of November W. Atlanta Shooting: Police
Smyrna Police arrest man accused of murder in the deadly Nov. 13 Atlanta shooting of Demario Fielder.
ATLANTA — Police have made an arrest in connection with the deadly Nov. 13 shooting of Demario Fielder.
Fabian Sheats, 37, was charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, police said.
On the night of Nov. 13, officers called to a report of gunfire arrived at the location in the 1200 block of Joseph E. Boone Blvd., to find the 39-year-old Fielder with a gunshot wound to his chest. He later died at a nearby hospital, police said.

Investigators determined that Fielder was involved in a fight with several other men that ended in gunfire, police said.
Smyrna Police arrested Sheats Monday on unrelated charges and found that he had outstanding warrants in Atlanta. He was turned over to Atlanta Police and taken to the Fulton County Jail where he is being held.
