Here are the top five stories in Atlanta today:
- Police believe 28-year-old Steven Lamar Jones, a suspect in the murder of 28-year-old Clarence Logan, could be hiding in Atlanta. The two Atlanta locals were at a hotel near George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas, when Jones allegedly stabbed Logan multiple times on Sep. 9. Atlanta police ask anyone who knows where Jones may be to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. (WSB Atlanta)
- Around 11:00 p.m. on Nov. 2, Atlanta police officers received a call about a body outside of 190 Marietta St. near CNN Center in downtown Atlanta. Officers did not find a body but are investigating the pool of blood discovered around the railroad tracks near a homeless camp. (WSB Atlanta)
- The fictional Victorian home featured in Netflix's Halloween-themed comedy film "The Curse of Bridge Hollow" is in Atlanta. The house is now an Atlanta Airbnb that can be rented for vacation or events. It is located at 229 Howard St. Northeast. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
- Cattle Shed Wine & Steak Bar Chef Olivia Hurst, a local Atlanta chef, won her episode of the Food Network's "Chopped" on Oct. 25. Hurst said, "This was an exciting opportunity to compete against some amazing chefs, represent Cattle Shed, and give Food Network viewers a glimpse of some of the interesting dishes that inspire me." - Lizzo, a famous pop star and one of the most famous vegans, recently raved about the vegan restaurant Planted Soul in Atlanta. Planted Soul owner Deja Francis said she was "completely blown away" by Lizzo's praise, which let her know she is on the right path with her business.
