One Woman Killed And Several Injured At Macon Night Club: Sheriff

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is asking for information about a shooting death that happened at Thirsty Turtle on Friday morning.

MACON, GA — A woman was shot and killed early Friday morning during a fight at a Macon nightclub, and several others were injured, Bibb County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

Authorities said a person shot at people standing outside Thirsty Turtle, 425 Cherry Street, before 2:47 a.m. as they drove towards the intersection at Third Street.

Two men were also stabbed outside the venue, investigators said.

A total of six people were shot, the sheriff's office said.

According to detectives, one of the women died at a local hospital, and another victim was last reported to have life-threatening injuries.

The other victims were last listed in stable condition, according to law enforcement officials.

The names of the victims will not be released by the Bibb County Sheriff's Office until next of kin has been notified.
