Rapper Cardi B Hospitalized, Cancels One MusicFest Performance In ATL

ATLANTA, GA — Popular rapper Cardi B, who says she has suffered a medical emergency, canceled her upcoming performance at One MusicFest in Atlanta.

The 32-year-old "Enough" rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, did not detail the nature of her emergency. Almánzar took to Facebook to share the news with fans that she has been recovering in the hospital for at least the last two days.

"It breaks my heart that I won't get to see my fans this weekend and I really wish I could be there. Bardi Gang - thank you for understanding and I'll be back better and stronger soon. Don't worry. Love yall," Almánzar wrote.

She captioned the post: "Thank you guys for understanding… I will see you soon."

In its 15th year, One MusicFest will be held Saturday and Sunday at Central Park in Atlanta.

The two-day show is set to include performers T.I., Keri Hilson, Method Man, Nelly, Fantasia, Gunna, Jill Scott, Victoria Monet, Lloyd, Trillville, Ari Lennox, DJ Drama, Dru Hill and a host of other well-known musicians.

Almánzar, who is originally from New York, was set to perform on the festival's opening day.

She recently celebrated a birthday on Oct. 11 and is a mother to three children.

Almánzar rose to stardom after her "Love and Hip-Hop" cast appearance in 2015. Her breakout hit, "Bodak Yellow," debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 200 in August 2018 and sat at No. 1 on the Hot 100 for three weeks.

Other No. 1 hits included "Girls Like You," where she featured alongside Maroon 5, and "I Like It," which featured Bad Bunny and J. Balvin.
