ATLANTA, GA — Umi in Buckhead has the best sushi in Georgia, according to a new ranking.
The list compiled by Chef Standards showed the best place to grab sushi in each state. Writers selected restaurants that were “celebrated for their exceptional taste, innovative dishes and captivating ambiance.”
According to Chef Standards, Umi menu features "beautifully crafted sushi and sashimi, highlighting the finest ingredients."

Google reviewers noted Umi's excellent appetizers and entrees, overall scoring the restaurant with a 4.3 rating.

Someone who gave Umi five stars called the service amazing and complimented its menu.
"One of the BEST dining experiences I have had in a long time. My husband and I went last night for our 2nd anniversary and everything from the ambiance, service, food was AMAZING. ... We started with the Rock Shrimp Tempura, Cucumber & Seaweed Salad and Yellowtail Appetizer. This was our first time trying yellowtail and it did not disappoint. The salad was also INSANE - so refreshing and bright! For mains, we had the Lobster Tempura Roll, New Age Roll (hubby’s fave) and Surf & Turf Roll (my fave). We finished with the 'Donut Touch my Donut' and Matcha Icecream. The donut had a nice chewy / mochi-like bite with a crispy exterior. Cannot express enough how great everything was - totally worth every penny!"
