Robert De Niro's 'Grandpa' Film Casting In Atlanta
Robert De Niro's new movie "The War with Grandpa" is now casting for background actors in Atlanta. Shooting will begin in May.
ATLANTA, GA -- If you've got telegenic children or want to be an extra in a movie featuring an A-Lister, Robert De Niro’s new movie "The War with Grandpa" is now casting for several parts in Atlanta.
Casting directors are specifically looking for child actors and adults to be stand-ins for some of the main characters in the movie. Plenty of extras are also needed, jogging mothers, wives, Realtors, and more.
Filming is scheduled begin in May around the Atlanta area, according to an online casting call.

This is what the casting directors are looking for:
A stand in – ideally an adult female – 4’9 – 4’11 – as slender as possible 70 – 90lbs — great rate and full time work for 2 months — email at least two photos and all contact info – HERO STAND IN in Subject
Then looking for a double – caucasian girl – 6-7 years old and as close as possible to: 44″ and 45lbs — HERO DOUBLE in Subject
Then looking for the following featured extras:
Hot jogging moms – 38 – 45 years old – ladies in good shape – HOT MOMS in Subject
Some friends of an older character some will be very featured – early 60’s to 80 — FRIENDS in Subject
A VERY FEATURED WIFE – 50 – 55 Years old — caucasian and attractive – FEATURED WIFE in Subject
A real estate agent type female 30 – 40 – pretty – professional and nice options of business attire – FEATURED AGENT in Subject
Middle School Kids – ranging from 12 – 16 years old — some to be VERY FEATURED — Middle School Kids in Subject

In addition to De Niro, the film stars Christopher Walken and Uma Thurman.
Georgia has been a favorite location for TV productions since the state instituted generous tax breaks for film companies that agree to shoot locally. Projects from CBS, NBC, HBO, BET and more are slated to shoot in the metro area in 2017.
Here are the productions that currently need metro Atlanta-based actors, models and talent to play various roles:
"Avengers: Infinity War"
The sequel to "The Avengers" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is shooting in metro Atlanta. Central Casting is hiring background actors, stand-ins, photo doubles and featured roles for the upcoming film. Shooting continues throughout April and will spill over into May in Fayetteville.
"Den of Thieves"
If you're a fan of "Power" and "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" by 50 Cent, the rapper-turned-movie mogul TV is back with another gritty film. "Den of Thieves" is a feature film starring the rapper and Gerard Butler. The movie will center on a bank heist that goes awry for one of the criminals. Shooting began in January 2017 in Atlanta.
"Pitch Perfect 3"
The film "Pitch Perfect 3" follows the other two films in the hugely successful franchise. The third installment of the musical comedy will star Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson & Miley Cyrus. The film is currently casting stand-ins. Shooting began January 30 in Atlanta and Marietta.
'Bad Boys' sequel starts casting in Atlanta in April
"Black Panther"
The Marvel Studios feature film "Black Panther" will star Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan & Lupita Nyong'o in the "Avengers" spinoff project. The movie will focus on T'Challa, the ruler of the kingdom of Wakanda and his efforts to defend the country from its adversaries. Shooting started in January.
