The potentially strong storms are expected to arrive between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. due to a sluggish frontal boundary heading south through Georgia, the NWS said in an update on Facebook.
Weather officials did not forecast severe weather in Georgia, and no alerts were in place as of early Thursday morning.
