  1. Two teens were arrested in connection to the murder of Zyion Charles, 12, and Kameron Jackson, 15, at the end of November. Both teens were charged with suspicion of two counts of murder, aggravated assault, and violation of the gang statute. According to police, one person arrested was 15 years old, and the other was 16. Police arrested the 16-year-old in New York. (Atlanta Patch)
  2. A fire which occurred last week on Bolton Road which authorities believed killed two people due to a gas leak is now being ruled a homicide. According to officials, one of the victims was dead before the fire. Investigators are unsure how the victim died or if the second victim was involved in the killing. (11Alive.com WXIA)
  3. According to United States Attorney Ryan K. Buchanan, a former Atlanta city attorney and police officer were indicted this week for defrauding the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), a federal stimulus program. Shelitha Robertson, 60, submitted fraudulent PPP loan applications for multiple companies she and other co-conspirators owned – receiving over $7 million in funding. The police officer's identity and charges were not released. (WSB Atlanta)
  4. A man was shot multiple times and killed at a gas station near Georgia State University on Dec. 4. Police believe the incident was targeted. Georgia State President M. Brian Blake sent out a letter to the campus community sharing his condolences with the family and will keep the community updated as details arise. (Macon Telegraph)
  5. Chris "Ludacris" Bridges is giving away new athletic shoes to Atlanta children before the holidays. The Ludacris Foundation partnered with Mercedes-Benz USA and Shoes That Fit, a nonprofit that will donate over 1,200 pairs of shoes to every student who attends the auto company's partner schools in Atlanta.
