Subway Employee Shot, Killed Over Too Much Mayo On Sandwich: Police

An Atlanta Subway customer has been arrested after police said he shot two employees, killing one, over too much mayo on a sandwich.

ATLANTA, GA — Police arrested a Subway customer Sunday after a shooting left one woman dead and another in critical condition.

The cause of the shooting was too much mayonnaise on a sandwich, police confirmed in a response to a question at a news conference Monday.

The shooting happened just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday at a Circle K gas station, located at 74 Northside Drive SW, Atlanta.

A 26-year-old woman was shot and killed and a 24-year-old employee is recovering from her injuries. Police said the 24-year-old employee's child was with her inside the restaurant at the time of the shooting.

Police arrested a 36-year-old man late Sunday, police said. The suspect has not been identified due to the ongoing investigation, police said.

“There was something wrong with the sandwich that made him so upset that he decided to take his anger out on the two employees here,” police said.
