Top Ladies of Distinction Conference Convenes This Week In Atlanta
Top Ladies of Distinction Conference runs from Wednesday through Sunday this week In downtown Atlanta.

ATLANTA -- Top Ladies of Distinction will host its 35th Area IV Leadership Conference in Atlanta this week.
The nonprofit organization is expected to bring more than 500 people to the city for events at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.
The conference will feature sessions and workshops that focus on leadership development, health initiatives, education and more, the group said.

Top Ladies of Distinction (TLOD) National Area IV Director Crystal C. Pittman will kick off the events on Thursday along with Atlanta City Council President Ceasar Mitchell and Theia Washington Smith, founding executive director of the City of Atlanta’s Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative.
“The 35th Area Leadership Conference is the time for members of Top Ladies to revisit our purpose and commitment to serving senior citizens, community beautification, community partnership, promoting the status of women, and connecting with our leaders of tomorrow, known as Top Teens of America – our No. 1 service thrust,” said National Area IV Director Crystal C. Pittman. “We will also celebrate Area IV’s 50th Anniversary by honoring the rich legacy and future of Area IV, recognize our partnerships and celebrate the United Negro College Fund and Historical Black Colleges and Universities.”

Following the program, conference attendees will be treated to TLOD’s 50th anniversary social “Celebrating UNCF and HBCUs” at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights Museum.
On Friday, the Literary Awards Luncheon will run from 1:30-3 p.m. at the Marriott, where Top Teens members will perform spoken word.
On Saturday will be the awards gala followed by the gospel extravaganza on Sunday morning.
Tickets for the Literary Luncheon and Gospel Extravaganza are $75 per person.
The Top Ladies of Distinction was founded in 1964 in Tyler, Texas.
