The president is visiting the state to help in the Republican party's fight against an increase in Democratic support.

ATLANTA, GA — President Donald Trump will attend a fundraiser in Atlanta in November, according to a report. The president's visit is a part of an effort to combat Democratic support in the state.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported people with direct knowledge of the president's travel plans, but could not speak publicly about it, as saying the president will hold a fundraiser on Nov. 8.
Last November, Democratic challenger Stacy Abrams came within about 60,000 votes from victory over Republican Brian Kemp.
