UFO Sightings Reported in Georgia in 2016: Check Out The Full List

The National UFO Reporting Center keeps records on all reported sightings, and 10 were reported in December in Georgia. Did you see one?

There were 10 UFO sightings reported in Georgia in December in 2016. Over the entire year, there were 120 sightings reported in communities all across the state, according to the National UFO Reporting Center.

We’re not saying there are or aren't UFOs — there are a lot explanations for what we see in the sky, and some explanations are more grounded than others. There was even a report on Christmas Eve in Marietta of "several reddish/orange lights in formation." And we all know what that could be.

Other sightings reported in December were from residents in Arcade, Atlanta, Cumming, Riverdale, Snellville, Suwanee and Sylvania.

There's a variety of sighting scenarios, but there's one variable that comes up again and again: people walking their dog when they looked up.

An Athens sighting in October noted, "Walking my dog when he stop and sniffed the air, looked up and saw flaming white light in sky. QUICKLY flew away!"

A sighting in April came mid-afternoon while the observer was playing with a dog, saying he or she "looked up and seen three balls of light that looked like what missiles look like. These lights went in three different directions going really fast, leaving three vapor trails behind them. It was something I never seen before. There was no noise at all."

The scenario you don't see often: Someone playing on their phone when they looked up. Go figure.
