Watchman's Closing Its Doors After Four Years At Krog Street Market
Owners of Watchman's Seafood and Spirits said the coronavirus pandemic caused the Old Fourth Ward oyster bar to close after four years.

ATLANTA, GA — When dinner is served at Watchman’s Seafood and Spirits on Sunday, Feb. 27, it will be for the last time.
Watchman’s is giving up its lease at the Krog Street Market at the end of the month, after four years in the open-air food hall, Eater Atlanta reports. The eatery was dedicated to offering locally-sourced seafood and sustainable menu items.
But the coronavirus pandemic was not kind to Watchman’s, and Eater Atlanta reports that the oyster bar and restaurant, which already struggled going into last fall, could not survive the surge caused by the omicron variant and the resulting holiday slowdown.
