- A 24-year-old woman was arrested and faced multiple charges, including homicide, after fleeing the scene of an accident on Saturday. Atlanta police report Zyria Sensley lost control of her SUV on Campbellton Road, where it rolled several times. She then allegedly ran from the car and left four passengers inside – one died, two were in critical condition, and the fourth had non-life-threatening injuries. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- Toys for Tots is celebrating its 75th anniversary by giving every child in Atlanta a bike for Christmas. Delta TechOps at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport donated 1,476 bicycles to the foundation. The Atlanta-based airline helps Toys for Tots meet its goal every year. (WSB Atlanta)
- According to Atlanta police, a shooting during a possible road-rage incident ended with a woman shot over the weekend. The 24-year-old was shot in the arm and taken to Grady Hospital in stable condition. The shooting occurred on 25th Street; it is unclear if police arrested any suspects. (11Alive.com WXIA)
- Atlanta police are looking for a suspect who murdered a 77-year-old woman – found in the garage of her home. Police believe the murder was a result of a robbery that was interrupted. Eleanor Bowles, who lived in a gated community on Paces West Terrace, was in her home when the suspect tried to steal her Lexus. (WSB Atlanta)
- The Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairman is urging residents to report vicious dog attacks after hearing of a series of attacks by one dog. According to the chairman, the dog severely injured another dog at a park while the owner took no action to stop it. Residents are urged to keep dogs on a leash and know their surroundings. (WSB Radio)
