Youtube TV To Be Available In Metro Atlanta

Youtube TV announces that it is expanding into 10 new markets, including Atlanta.

ATLANTA, GA -- Cord cutters in metro Atlanta are getting some welcome news. Youtube TV announced Thursday that it is expanding into 10 new markets, including Atlanta. The premiere video site on the internet is making a major play into American living rooms by adding live sports, local news, and must-see programming to its already unparalleled repertoire.

The move will mark the first time all the major TV networks will be accessible via live streaming on one device. Youtube TV launched in April in a handful of cities, including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. The new round of cities will have even more channels accessible, including AMC, BBC World News, BBC America, IFC, WE tv, Sundance Channel, Olympic Channel, Telemundo and Universo.

The 10 new cities that Youtube TV will be available in are:

  • Atlanta
  • Charlotte
  • Dallas-Ft. Worth
  • Detroit
  • Houston
  • Miami-Ft. Lauderdale
  • Minneapolis-St. Paul
  • Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne
  • Phoenix
  • Washington, D.C.

YouTube TV will have a number of services available for households, including all-screen capability. Android and iOS compatibility and AirPlay support. Each Youtube TV membership comes with six accounts with no storage limits. The service will costs $35 a month with no commitments and the ability to cancel at anytime.
