Armed Man Dies After Being Shot By Brookhaven Officer: Report

BROOKHAVEN, GA — A man accused of being armed was shot by a police officer around 5:30 p.m. Monday at Peachtree Road near the Town Brookhaven shopping center and later died, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Police did not say what led to the shooting, but the AJC reported no officers were injured Tuesday.

The public was alerted via Facebook of heavy police presence in the area. Police said in the alert the Town Boulevard entrance had been closed.
